about Jennifer Ferrell-Hanington, Psy.D.

Dr. Ferrell-Hanington has been a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida (PY5044) since 1993. She has been in private practice since 1997. She treats adult clients who are seeking assistance for general anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic attacks, phobias, stress, and various life challenges or adjustments. Her approach with clients is based on the Cognitive Behavioral model, which identifies the interaction between thoughts, behaviors and emotions. Beliefs and thoughts are evaluated, problem-solving skills are developed, behavioral patterns are improved, and self-confidence is strengthened.
Dr. Ferrell-Hanington earned her master's and doctorate degrees from Florida Institute of Technology. She has provided outpatient psychological services through Florida Hospital (AdventHealth) before being a founding partner of Associates in Psychology and Counseling. For over fourteen years, she helped build this practice into a respected group of clinicians who provided mental health services to the Central Florida community. Since 2011, she has been practicing independently. Dr. Ferrell-Hanington is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Florida Psychological Association and a professional member of the International OCD Foundation.
